Choosing Music for My Wedding
DVD There
is generally quite a lot of music in a wedding DVD and
we would prefer that you choose the music to be used;
this enables you to personalise your DVD and this will
add greatly to your enjoyment. We generally use music
in the sections where either, it is not possible to record
voices, or where it is not desirable. The sections where
we most commonly use music are; the guests arriving, the
signing of the register, photographs being taken, shots
of the reception venue and function room, the receiving
line and the final reprise section.
One of the most common mistakes people make when choosing
their music, is to choose too much slow romantic music
and not enough up-tempo music, we generally only need
one or two slow romantic songs, but more like 4 or 5 up-tempo
songs. We ask our customers to fill in a form listing
the music they want us to use and return it to us as soon
possible. Because the music affects so much of the editing,
we generally need to have your list before we can edit
the video.
There are also copyright issues which we have to take
into account when using music in wedding DVDs, and because
if this, the form also asks our customers to sign a declration
stating that they own legal copies of the songs they wish
us to use.
